AICE Media Studies

        Starting this project, my first inspiration was horror, i have always been a fan and never stopped watching horror based movie/short films. The three genres i choose and decided on research where as follow: Horror, Action, and Science Fiction. Science fiction and horror do play a part together and can have some tied similarities, however i wanted to choose these topics and they are seemingly the best suited for my film/pitch. My pitch "Jason awakes to find himself alone in a house, in order to escape he must find the picture with no face, before time runs out", has a horror aspect built into it however it can go multiple ways. Say i want it to become an action film, it still fits the theme of having it become a mission, or even if i were to do a Science Fiction genre then i could add little details about a different world inserted into the movie.               This year will be a year in which i do my project alone. I've had experiences alone in a group before, since for me working alone isn't hard to a matter of fact it's fun. What does make it challenging in the fact that not having group mates puts lots of work onto me, not that i'm complaining it's just the fact behind this pandemic. I won't be able to work with anyone that i choose which to me was one person and now i won't even be able to work with him. These conditions we are in right now are primitive and destructive, there's no chance to work with someone without risking this disease to outbreak. In the opposite manner, i'm not completely angry at the fact of working alone as it's just more for me to think about, there is no choosing what to do with multiple people, or fighting on who does what, no i get to take the long way and do it on my own.                                           This is my second year taking this class, i took this class sophomore year which was two years prior to AS. I decided to take this class not only to continue the learning from AS but to become experienced as much as possible within the film industry for college, as film may be a major of mine that i'd love to take. There are plenty of ideas that i am thinking in taking this road for this 5 minute film, a personal favorite genre of mine is gothic/horror, the main inspiration to my upcoming final film.
